A/R Juaben Senior High School Honours First Deputy Speaker of Parliament
The Management of Juaben Senior High School in the Ashanti region has bestowed a special honour on the first Deputy Speaker and Member of Parliament for the Bekwai constituency, Hon Joseph Osei Owusu for his enormous contribution to the development of his alma mater.
As part of the honouring, the school has built a monument in the name of the first deputy speaker funded by some of the old students’ groups.
Also, the school has erected a structure called the Asagyefo Garden Wall of Fame with pictorials of some old students, including the Hon Joseph Osei-Wusu and Hon K.T Hammond.
In a short ceremony to honour him at the school campus, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon Joe Wise, was excited and proud of the honorary and the recognition the school has bestowed on him.
Hon. Joe Wise counted on the numerous ways he has been assisting the school with other old students. He added that he has never been ashamed of the school, which has made him who he is today, and I feel proud to be an alumnus of the school wherever I find myself.
The First Deputy Speaker urged the students to leave a golden footprint in the sand of time and embrace competency, good character, and empathy to make it in life as that has been his backbone in his successful life journey.
The Headmaster of Juaben Senior High School, Mr. Kofi Ampofo Nuako showed appreciation to the old students for their generosity towards the school.
Adding the projects given by the old students, including the computer laboratory and dining hall with sinks, and many others will be put to good use. Urging the students to also emulate in giving back to their school.
