C/R Breast Cancer Does Not Affect Only Women, Men Are At Risk— Public Health Nurse 

The public health nurse in the Ekumfi Otuam health center and focal person of breast cancer awareness Mrs Nura Osman emphasis that , breast cancer does not affect only women, Men are at risk of losing life.

According to her she said it killed men but women’s died more than men so as they are in breast cancer month of October , she is encouraging both men and women to examine their breast to avoid cancer because early detection is better.

In other way statistics show that several women were dying of breast cancer every year and call on general public to pay particular attention to breast cancer and report to nearby hospitals for medication as so as possible.

The midwife Incharge of Otuam health center Ms Fathia Mensah also advocate that,1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their life time because cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among women so they should squize the breast and feel a lump and save lives

According to her in 2023 4,482 women’s were diagnosed with breast cancer that why, their creating awareness with this compaign to reach out of people within Ekumfi District to reduce breast cancer in the Ghana.

In view of this madam Dorcas Assan public health nurse at Ekumfi Eshuohyia campaign to the health services workers has taken it upon itself not to do this education only in October pink month ,we have heightened our campaign as far as breast cancer is concerned.

She charges the individuals to pay attention to themselves by going to any of health services facility to request breast cancer screening and not to wait on till October.
