A/R Residents Protest Over Destruction of Farm Lands Buildings by Armed Men*

The residents of Twedie in the Atwima Kwawoma District of the Ashanti Region are protesting the destruction of farmlands and building lands by armed men who are alleged to be working with an influential traditional leaders.

The farm produce destroyed on farms includes plantains, cassava, maize, and other crops.

The destruction supervised by unknown armed men also saw the demolition of some uncompleted buildings.

Speaking to Angel News in an interview, the residents said the destructions were led by politicians in connivance with some chiefs in the area.

The therefore appealed to the Ashantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II to intervene to avert bloody clash.

The Assembly Member of the Twedie Electoral area, Hon. Augustine Osei said most of the residents had become helpless and hapless because several complaints to the police had yielded no results.
