The race for the Dormaa East parliamentary seat is heating up as the general elections draw closer. In a bid to secure victory, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has called on party executives and supporters to come together and support their candidate to secure victory in the 2024 general elections.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito, addressed a gathering of NDC supporters during a durbar of chiefs and community engagement at Wamanafo in Dormaa East as part of his Bono regional campaign tour and urged them to be united and work together to ensure victory for the parliamentary candidate for the area, Rahel Owusuah, and the party at large in the upcoming elections.
The national chairman reminded party executives and supporters of the importance of rallying behind their candidate and ensuring that she receives the necessary support to win the Dormaa East parliamentary seat.
He stressed the need for a united front and encouraged everyone to put aside their differences and focus on the common goal of securing victory for the NDC.
The General Secretary also highlighted the importance of grassroots mobilization and urged party members to actively campaign and engage with voters in order to garner support for their candidate.
He emphasized the power of unity and the collective efforts of all party members in securing victory in the upcoming elections.
The NDC parliamentary candidate for the Dormaa East constituency, Rahel Owusuah pledged her alligience to people and also promised that she will do everything in her capacity to bring development to her people.
Some chiefs in the Dormaa East constituency including Kofi Nti shed, Wamanafo, Akontanmu, Dormaa Akwamu and Asuotiano voiced out their various challenges to the national chairman and urged the NDC to remember them to alleviate their plights should they win power in the upcoming elections.
