E/R Claims of SSNIT Collapsing Are Untrue: Chief SSNIT Actuary Assures Ghanaian’s

The Chief Actuary at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Joseph Poku has dismissed claims that SSNIT is on the verge of collapsing.

Speaking to media,  during an awareness campaign for the Self-employed Enrollment Drive (SEED) in Somanya, Mr. Joseph Poku highlighted that SSNIT has been in operation since 1991 and has consistently demonstrated strong financial performance, disbursing payments to pensioners without delays.

He urged Ghanaian  to regard these collapse claims as unfounded and politically motivated.

Furthermore, Mr. Poku encouraged all Ghanaian’s, especially young self-employed individuals, to participate in the SEED initiative. He noted that the scheme allows people to plan for their future, ensuring they are not a financial burden on their families in old age or during retirement.
