Ahafo/R We Have Bad Records Let’s Redeem Our Image In The Election–Ahafo Regional Minister

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Yaw Boakye, has called on the people of the Ahafo Region to work towards redeeming their image in this year’s elections, emphasizing the need to move away from a history of electoral violence.

During an engagement organized by the Ahafo Regional Election Security Taskforce on Tuesday at Goaso Pastoral Center with political parties, religious leaders, the Peace Council, associations, and other stakeholders.

Hon. Boakye stressed the importance of vigilance, particularly in monitoring the use of motorbikes, which have reportedly been linked to unlawful activities during past elections.

In the same meeting,Mr. Emmanuel Kyei, Deputy Ahafo Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, assured stakeholders that preparations for the election are ongoing to ensure a smooth process.

DCOP Mr. James Annor, Ahafo Regional Police Commander, highlighted the commitment of the police to intensify education and collaboration with stakeholders and political parties to ensure peaceful elections in the region.
