1D1F Plantain Processing Factory Commissioned At Fawohoyeden

A new plantain processing factory under the One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative has been commissioned at Fawohoyeden in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region on Thursday, November 29. The factory specializes in producing plantain-based biscuits, marking a step forward in adding value to local agricultural produce.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Yaw Boakye, praised the visionary leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. He also commended the Member of Parliament for Asunafo North, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie, for his instrumental role in the project, urging constituents to recognize his efforts with their votes, alongside support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asunafo North, Hon. Osei Yaw Boahen, highlighted the job creation potential of the factory, stating that it would benefit the communities of Fawohoyeden and Ayomso, thereby boosting local employment.

Mr. George Frimpong, the Project Officer for the factory, assured that the youth would be prioritized for employment opportunities at the facility. He encouraged the community to continue supporting the NPP to enable further developmental projects.

Nana Akyemfour, the Akwamuhene of Fawohoyeden, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Fawohoyeden Chief, applauding the government for its achievements in the area and pledging unwavering support for the NPP in upcoming elections.
