Effutu MCE Debunks Alleged Streetlight Bulbs Theft
The MCE for Effutu municipal Hon. Alhaji Kassim Zubairu has debunked allegations being circulating on traditional and social media that he the MCE was spotted stealing Streetlight bulbs from the Assembly’s warehouse/storeroom in Winneba.
According to the MCE, it’s a calculated attempt by the unscrupulous and disappointed NDC parliamentary candidate James Kofi Annan to tarnish the hard earned image and reputation of the MCE for Effutu municipality Hon. Kassim Zubairu.
The MCE Explaining his ordeal to the media noted that, on the 9th of December, 2024 he signed for 20 streetlight bulbs from the Assembly’s main storeroom to their anex warehouse at Highways a suburb of Winneba to be presented to some communities who are in need of the said items.
He added that, In the process of loading the streetlight bulbs into a vehicle by the driver saw a mammoth crowd of NDC sympathizers and abruptly attacked him claiming MCE sent him to steal the items.
Hon. Alhaji Kassim Zubairu has described the reportage as fallacy, fabrication, unprofessional and false which has generated unnecessary tension in the area.
The MCE further echoed that, all the allegations were orchestrated by the disappointed NDC parliamentary candidate candidate for Effutu James Kofi Annan knowing very well that, NDC next MCE can never get closer to the achievements Hon. Zubairu Kassim has left behind hence the allegations.
He has therefore urged the general public to treat the news as false and has charged journalists to be circumspect and give accurate reportage in their line of duty.
