An abandoned baby girl has been found dead at a dumping site at Atwima Takyiman in the Kwadaso municipal of the Ashanti Region.
The abandoned baby was placed in a paper box and wrapped with Kwadaso SDA hospital cloth which indicates that either the mother went into labour at the said hospital or attended the hospital for medication.
Assembly man for Takyima-Denkyemuoso electoral area, David Asare who disclosed this to Bismark Mensah, said the baby was found by the dumping site caretaker.
“The baby was found in a paper box dead, wrapped with Kwadaso SDA hospital cloth, but we have not yet discovered the mother or parents. So we have performed all necessary rituals and have laid her to rest.” Asare added.
“We are ready to investigate this till we find out the mother or father of this abandoned dead baby and have him or her face the law”.
