CETAG Gives Government 3-Day Ultimatum Over Conditions Of Service
The College of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has given the government a three-day ultimatum to provide them with their conditions of service.
According to the Vice President of CETAG, Mr. Daniel Mensah Ofori, if the government fails to meet their demands by December 20th, 2024, they will be forced to “advise themselves.”
This implies that CETAG members may embark on industrial action, including a potential strike, which could disrupt teaching activities in colleges of education across the country.
Mr. Ofori expressed frustration with the government’s handling of their concerns, stating that they have been disappointed several times by the government’s failure to fulfill promises made during negotiations.
He emphasized that CETAG members will not teach if the government does not pay their arrears, warning that the government should not expect them to resume work without a resolution to their grievances.
