Tema NDC Demand Registration Of CEOs And MDs

Members of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, in the three Tema Constituencies including some executives have called at some offices of state establishments demanding the removal of political appointees heading those establishments.

The group made largely of women first called at the Tema Development Company Limited, and locked offices of some management members.
The angry group then moved to Valco, Tema Oil Refinery and Ghana Ports and Habours Authority and tie red bans on the doors of the CEOs and MDs after meeting their absence.
According to the group, some of them were unjustifiably dismissed from those institutions by management of the outgoing NPP administration upon winning power in 2016.
They were rendered jobless for past eight years and therefore it is their time to also enjoy.
They are in view of this asking the CEOs,, MD’s and other top management members who were politically appointed to vacate their posts with immediate effect so that the new administration can assume reigns and implement its agenda.
At the TDC, a leader of the group, Boutros Andy, accuses the group accuses Alfred Mahama and Ibrahim Mahama, brothers of John Dramani Mahama, for lobbying for the Director of Finance at TDC, Mumuni Yakubu, to be appointed as the next MD for the company.
According to them, Yakubu is a die in the wool NPP member who was seen sharing T-shirts and campaigning for the NPP prior to the just ended elections.
At the GPHA, the situation nearly escalated when some military personnel pulled guns at the agitated crown, taking the intervention of some leaders including the former Director for Tema Port, Jacob Adorkor, to dowse the the near escalation.
*Mr. Adorkor* assured the aggrieved NDC members that their concerns are almost resolved and asked them to be a little patient for proper handing over.
