Care Ghana  Called On Government To Restructure Ghana Police Service To Curb Electoral Violence

The Executive director for Care Ghana David Kumi Addo has called On President John Mahama to Restructure Ghana police service to Curb Electoral Violence in Elections.

He shared Care Ghana’s Observations in Elections 2024 indicating that Vote-buying and Electoral Malpractices Occurred under the Elections taxforce Watch in 7th December Polls Elections.


He stated that, Ghana police service Must develop and Enforce Stringent Measures to Detect and Penalised vote- buying and selling.


Incidents of Violence and Intimidation in elections resulting shooting that claimed live of innocent Ghanaians in Damango, Awutu Senya East in Kasoa Nyankpala in Tolon Constituency Among orthers, this incident undermined the peaceful Environment.

 

Care Ghana called on President Elect to Adopt measures to strengthen the Elections Security taskforce to End crime during Elections.
