Nananom of Kasoa Odupong Ofaakor Traditional Council in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region have announced the ban on Landguard activities in the area and collection of digging fees from developers with an immediate effect.
The move according to Nananom is a headway to protect developers from being harrased by these so called Landguards.
Speaking to journalists, Nai Amambuo Nimsaa, Gyaasehene of Odupong Ofaakor Traditional Council noted that the activities of Landguards have attracted “bad name tag” to Kasoa and also chasing investors away.
Nai however called on all Ghanaians to rally behind the new Mahama’s Government to facilitate development for country-Ghana.
Gyaasehene made these assertions when Nananom performed ceremony to outdoor the New Odikro for Okulu Nkwanta, *DR. Naakye Awo Ashie Kloddey III*
On her part, the Newly Outdoored Odikro of Okulu Nkwanta, Dr.Naakye Awo Ashie Kloddey promised to use her outfit to tackle the growing youth unemployment and teenage pregnancy in the town as well as making sure Okulu Nkwanta of strengthening development as odikro of Okulu Nkwanta to help eradicate the rising of teenage pregnancy and activities of land guards in the area.
She advised the youth in the community to desist from drug and substance abuse as these acts will have serious health impact on them.
