Residents Of Bronikrom Cry Out Over Armed Robbery Epidemic

Residents of Bronikrom in the Bantama constituency of the Ashanti region are living in fear as armed robbers continue to wreak havoc in the area.

The community is calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the military to increase patrols and protect them from the marauding criminals.

According to the residents, the armed robbers have been striking with impunity, targeting unsuspecting victims, especially in the early morning hours.

Last week, three men on a motorcycle allegedly robbed a woman of GH¢5,000 as she was on her way to the market.

In a separate incident, a lady was brutally attacked with a cutlass and had her phone stolen.

Speaking to Bawah Baidoo,the residents are at their wit’s end, and their cries for help are growing louder.

“The rate at which armed robbers are tormenting our lives in the area is really alarming,” said one resident.

“We need the IGP and the soldiers to improve their patrol in our area to protect us from these criminals.”

The community is urging the authorities to take immediate action to address the growing insecurity in the area.

They want more police presence, improved lighting, and other security measures to prevent the armed robbers from continuing their reign of terror.

As the residents of Bronikrom continue to live in fear, they hope that their cries for help will be heard and that the authorities will take swift action to restore peace and security to their community.
