On 15/01/2025 at about 0430 hours, No. 59709 G/Const Solomon Okyere in charge three Community Police Assistance (CPA) Arhin Emmanuel, Alfred Danso, and Frank owusu Afriyie together with complainant Anthony Siaw, aged 62 years who reported a case of threat of harm on 13/01/2025 reported and left for Akrofuom on enquiries.
Complainant led Police to suspect commonly known as Sibubas’ house near the DCE bungalow and pointed him out to Police and hence his arrest.
Suspect Sibuba in his house told Police he needed to inform his family about his arrest and was allowed to make a phone call.
Few minutes later, a mob numbering about 50 wielding all sorts of offensive weapons attacked and beat the officers mercilessly and also took Police A.K 47 rifle number KT 231118-36 from G/Const Solomon Okyere. They then left the officers in a nearby bush to die.
The officers managed to call for re-enforcement as C/Inspr Emmanuel Kwarteng and Inspr Richard Klomegah went to their rescue.

The officers were immediately rushed to the Obuasi Government Hospital where they were admitted for treatment. Meanwhile the AK 47 rifle has been retrieved. You will be informed of further developments.
