Some unknown Persons were deliberately cutting our water hoses during our arrival at the market – Fire Service reveals

A.D.O. I Mr. Victor Gyan the Public Relations Officer for the Ghana National Fire Service in the Bono East Region has revealed that some unknown unscrupulous persons were obstructing their Personnel from fighting the devastating fire that engulfed part of the Techiman Central Market on Sunday night burning over 100 stalls and containers to ashes and leaving traders in anguish.

The fire which started around 9:30 PM destroyed goods worth millions of Ghana cedis with fire Personnel struggling to contain the fast-spreading blaze.

Speaking in an interview with the Media in Techiman, A.D.O I Victor Gyan said about four Fire Tenders from nearby towns came to support the two in Techiman to help quench the fire but unfortunately some unidentified persons were cutting their water hoses which made it difficult for their personnel to work.
