Atwima Kwanwoma Assembly Members Condemn Unlawful Entry And Looting Of Director’s Residence By NDC Chairman
Assembly members at Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti Region have raised concerns against the unlawful entry and looting of assembly properties in the house of the Coordinating Director by the NDC Chairman and the youth organiser in the constituency.
Addressing the press, the presiding member, Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah, explained that, since 2017, management and assembly members all agreed to keep some properties such as street bulbs, warranty boots, fertilisers and many others at the Coordinating Director’s residence due to inadequate space at the assembly.
Adding that this has been a continuous thing from the former coordinator to this current one, Madam Eunice Korankye, which everyone is aware off.
But to their surprise, Mr Solomon Alonga, NDC Chairman and the youth organiser, unlawfully went into the residence of the coordinating director to ransom these properties of the assembly with the help of the police without the permission of the director.
Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah expressed their dissatisfaction with the attitudes of the NDC Chairman and the youth organiser towards them as they accused the coordinating director, Madam Eunice Korankye and the assembly members of thievery, which is a disgrace to their credibility.
They, therefore, called on the general public to disregard any false allegation being spread by the NDC in the constituency against the coordinating director and the assembly members in the district as they were all baseless.
In an interview with some of the aggrieved assembly members, they promised to vote against whoever is nominated for the DCE position if NDC executives in the constituency do not render an apology to the Coordinating Director and the assembly members at large.
