Men In Military Uniform Seize Assembly Vehicles In Mechanic Shop At Buduburam
A group of men in military uniform have seized seven assembly pickups from a mechanic shop at Gomoa Budumburam in the Central Region.
The vehicles, are Toyota hard body and Toyota Hilux belonging to the Gomoa East and Awutu Senya West Assemblies.
Owners of the mechanic shops says the vehicles are not stolen cars but belongs to some District Assembly and they are working on them.
It remains unclear on whose instructions the group was acting.
The Military officers claimed to be workers of Operation Halt the looting team came with Towing cars and towed about 7 pickups belonging to various Assemblies.
The group, led by one Major Mahama, reportedly ordered the vehicles to be towed away.
In response, a team of police officers from the Central East Regional Police Command and Gomoa Budumburam swiftly intervened to investigate the circumstances surrounding the operation.
Currently all the vehicles have been towed to the Central East Regional Police command while the military officers have instructed the Assembly workers to provide documents to police and them to Prof whether the cars belongs to them.
