25-Year-Old Man Allegedly Sets Family House On Fire Eight Bedrooms Burnt
A devastating fire has ravaged a one-story building at Ahenema Kokoben, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, destroying eight bedrooms and displacing dozens of tenants.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Papa, allegedly set the fire during a heated argument with his senior brother.
Eyewitnesses told Agyenkwa News that the altercation escalated when Papa chased his brother with a knife, forcing him to flee the house.
Moments later, the fire started, and it took the timely intervention of firefighters to prevent the entire building from being reduced to ashes.
The blaze resulted in significant property damage, with items worth hundreds of cedis destroyed.
The displaced tenants have lost properties valued at thousands of cedis.
Fire officials have launched an investigation into the incident, but as of the time of filing this report, Papa was still at large.
