Parliament Condemns Thug Attacks In The Country

Parliament today condemned the ongoing thug attacks in the country and calls for appropriate measures to deal with the situation.

Contributing to statement, the MP for Ofoase Ayeribi, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said, it’s strange that upto now, not a single person in these lawlessness has been punished despite the fact that, many of these people are shown in television.

He further called for proper public inquiry into how come law and order broke down at several collation centres during the elections including some public offices.

Mr Oppong Nkrumah concluded that, if nothing is done about the situation, a certain signal is been sent to some politicians that, they should get themselves personal securities to win their elections come 2028.

 

Also, the MP for Abura Asebu-Kwamankese Felix Kwakye Ofosu added his voice saying, the ongoing lawlessness began not under this NDC John Dramani Mahama led government but during the immediate past NPP government where some party supporters were doing same but leadership at the time failed to condemn the situation.
