Nsoatreman Football Club Proposal To Withdraw From The Ghana Premier League

Accept our warm sporting compliments.
The Club President and the Board of Directors of Nsoatreman Football Club in an emergency meeting held today, 3rd February, 2025, have resolved to withdraw from the Ghana Premier League with immediate effect.
This decision has not been arrived at lightly considering the possible consequential effects it is likely to have on the league and other clubs.

However, the club believes that yesterday’s regrettable incident which unfortunately resulted in the loss of life cannot be counterbalanced with any other remedial measure.

This move is a demonstration of our revulsion to the dastardly act perpetrated by hooligans at the Professor KOROMANSAH II stadium in the game between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Football should be played in an atmosphere of tolerance, love, and sportsmanship.
The Board of Directors believe that allowing the club to continue playing in the league might inadvertently exacerbate the pain of the bereaved family.

We send our deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family, the GFA and all relevant stakeholders.
Yours faithfully,
