Ahyirem Family Drop Hot Water On New Offinso Hene And Chiefs Àt Chief Palace

The Ahyirem Abusua has publicly expressed its disapproval of Nana Amoako Poku’s enstoolment as Offinsohene, citing ongoing Chieftaincy issues at the Regional House of Chiefs.
Spokesperson of Ahyirem AbusuaPayin Kwabena Agyeibi Obeng emphasized that Nana Amoako should not set foot in the palace until the matter is resolved.
According to Kwabena Agyeibi Obeng, Nana Amoako lacks the authority to sell lands within Offinso and its environs because the case at the Regional House of Chiefs has still not been resolved.
The Ahyirem family claims to be the genuine royals and has threatened to perform rituals on the stool to assert their rights.
“We will go and perform all rituals on the stool because we are the genuine royals,” Kwabena Agyeibi Obeng stated.
He made this statement when the Ahyirem Royal Family organized a press briefing at offinso Palace today. Where heavy police deployed to ensure safety.
Family members present at the press briefing voiced their discontent with the Regional House of Chiefs’ handling of the issue.
They accused the House of repeatedly postponing hearings and warned that they would take matters into their own hands if the issue is not critically examined.
“If they don’t take a critical look at the case, we will advise ourselves,” some family members warned.
Apostle Anthony Opoku Addae, Chairman of the Local Council of Churches, has added his voice to the dispute, urging the Regional House of Chiefs to work towards a peaceful resolution between the two families.
