Concerned citizens of Adoagyiri-Nsawam in the Eastern Region are demanding a full apology from Emeafa Hardcastle,

Acting Chief Executive of the Petroleum Commission, for her derogatory remarks against Frank Annor-Dompreh, their Member of Parliament (MP) and Minority Chief Whip.

Commenting on the public altercation between Hardcastle and the Minority Chief Whip, they described her insults as unfortunate.

A heated exchange broke out between Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Minority Chief Whip, and Emeafa Hardcastle,

Acting Chief Executive of the Petroleum Commission, on January 28.

The confrontation occurred during a brief recess in the Parliamentary Appointments Committee proceedings and was sparked by Hardcastle’s comment referring to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) caucus as a ‘Micro-Minority’.

Although Hardcastle apologized to the House of Parliament, residents of Adoagyiri-Nsawam, particularly women, are demanding a direct apology to their community and MP.

They expressed deep displeasure over the remark and emphasized that parliamentary consequences should be enforced to hold public officials accountable for maintaining respect and decorum in their interactions with elected representatives.

The women remain resolute in their demand for a direct and unconditional apology from Ms. Emeafa Hardcastle to both Mr. Annor-Dompreh and the community.

They seek to restore goodwill and bring the controversy to a close when speaking to Angel News Reporter Van Brown.

End.
