.Fishing Minister Pledges To CompleteAbandoned Anomabo Fishing College

The Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture ,Emilia Arthur has pledged to complete and operationalized the Anoba Fisheries College which was started in 2013 but was been abandoned by under NPP government.

Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Shama Constituency Hon Emilia Arthur express very disappointed in the NPP government for failing to start the school for the past 8 years while all classrooms and Hotels were ready .

In 2023 the NDC government started building fishing college at Anomabo in the aim of training unemployed youth into fishing but the school was abandoned after living office according to the Minister.


The legislator said, the project will help train people and also employ many people when complete.

In an interview with Douglas Oyiboh Amponsah during a working visit, Emilia Arthur promised ensure the completion and operationalization of the college to help train more people into fish farming.

Lastly the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency Prince Kojo Arhin also said when the university comes to operation, it’s will create jobs and boost the local economy of Anomabo community.
