A 38-year-old man, Kwasi Botwey, who allegedly murdered his girlfriend in a fit of rage at Hemanso in the Wassa East District of the Western Region, has been lynched to death by an angry mob.
According to reports, Botwey fled the community after committing the crime on Monday morning, prompting a search by police and community members. His body was discovered in a bush near Tongokurom, with severe injuries, including a gouged left eye, severed palm, and removed intestines.
Although the perpetrators remain unknown, locals suspect that Kwasi Botwey’s killing was a revenge attack by an angry mob.
Meanwhile, Twifo Praso District Police Command, led by Superintendent Charles Addae Boateng has conveyed the body to the praso government mortuary for preservation pending investigation.
