Lack Of Potable Drinking Water Endangering Our Health – Koo Emmakrom Dikro Cries

Nana Kwaku Kyere, the Dikro, along with the elders of Koo Emmakrom, a suburb in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region, have voiced grave concerns over the absence of potable water facilities in their community.

This scarcity has left them with no choice but to rely on contaminated stagnant water, particularly during the dry season.

Speaking to Angel News, Nana Kwaku Kyere urged the Jaman South Member of Parliament, Hon. Col. Kwadwo Damoah (Rtd), to prioritize the construction of boreholes to alleviate their water crisis.

He highlighted that the residents of Koo Emmakrom had overwhelmingly supported him, contributing to his victory in the December general elections.

An elder echoed the Dikro’s appeal, underscoring the urgent need for government and parliamentary intervention to ensure the drilling of boreholes.

He lamented that residents must travel four miles to Baatia or Dodosuo to access potable drinking water, a situation he described as distressing.

Mr. Emmanuel Kyeremeh, the Koo Emmakrom Youth Leader, expressed his exasperation over the dire water situation and implored the authorities to provide immediate assistance.

A concerned citizen also appealed to the government, the Member of Parliament for Jaman South, and philanthropists to extend necessary support by drilling boreholes to provide access to potable drinking water, thereby safeguarding them from water-related illnesses.
