Two Perish In Accident At Dadwene-Kyekyewere On Obuasi-Kumasi Highway

About 4:30am, suspect driver Akwesi Yeboah aged 25yrs was in charge of Hyundai Grace Mini Bus with registration number AC 1477-21 driving from Accra heading towards Obuasi with 3 persons on board,

On reaching a section of the road at Adansi Dadwene on Obuasi-Kumasi Highway, he veered off his lane into the opposite lane and in the process collided head-on with an on coming Shack Man Trailer Truck known as (Low Bed) with registration number CR 1228-25, driven by suspect driver Padmond Kakari aged 33years and his mate who was on board the Hyundai Grace Mini Bus died on the spot.

The other two persons on board the Hyundai Grace Mini Bus including both suspect drivers sustained various degrees of injury and they were rushed to Obuasi Government Hospital for treatment, but suspect driver Akwesi Yeboah was pronounced dead shortly on arrival at the hospital. Bodies deposited at the same hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
