Chiefs And Youths Of Asante Akyem Praso Instructs Illegal Miners, Storm The Lands Without The Notice Of  Nananom Yo Stop Operating In The Area

Chief of Asante Akyem Praso, Nana Yaw Agyekumhene has expressed concern about the ongoing illegal mining operations at Asante Akyem Praso, a community within Asante Akyem South in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

According to Nana is a clear reminder that no company or individual has received permission from Nananom and authorities of the community to exploit the land for mining purposes.

Effective immediately by order of Nana Yaw Agyekumhene, all those involved in the illicit mining are ordered to vacate the premises without delay.

Speaking with Angel news Oheneba Siaw Nana Ofori Ababio, Sanaahene of Asante Akyem Praso, All operations must cease, and those illegal miners are required to remove any machinery and equipment from the site else they(miners) won’t come and meet them there.

He said one person has died in a Galamsey pit in their community before so the Galamsey activities doesn’t bring them any benefit which they should tolerate.

 

Meanwhile Mr Ali, the youth leader of the community and also a security at the said Cocoa farm land said they will never allow Galamsey activity in the town so they give soon mining company limited three days ultimatum to come for their equipments immediately.
