Police Officer Allegedly Assaults 24-Year-Old Woman At Weija Police Station

A 24-year-old woman has allegedly been assaulted by a police officer at the Old Weija Police Station in Greater Accra, leaving her with excessive bleeding from the nose and bruises on her body.

According to the victim, the officer, identified as James, instructed her to sit at the counter while her statement was being taken.

However, when she attempted to call her fiancé, the officer became enraged, seized her phone, and physically attacked her, leading to the assault.

An insider has alleged that the attack was orchestrated by a former police officer, who reportedly directed Officer James to carry out the assault.

The motive behind this alleged involvement remains unclear.

The victim has since reported the incident to the New Weija District Commander, but no arrests have been made yet.
