23 Injured One Feared Dead In Accident At Anyaa-NIC

At least 23 people sustained various injuries, and another feared dead in a road accident at Anyaa-NIC around 7:29 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

The accident involved a Sprinter bus with registration number GX-4306-13, which was transporting passengers returning from a naming ceremony in Ablekuma, Ga Central Municipality, Accra.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver, who was allegedly intoxicated, was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle, leading to the crash.

All injured individuals, including the driver, were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical attention.

However, there are fears for the life of a young woman who was severely injured after the vehicle somersaulted and landed on her.

Some residents say s,the stretch of the road sees frequent accidents due to non-functioning traffic lights and the absence of speed ramps.
