Residents Of Amakyebare Accuse Ashanti Regional Minister And The Government Of Neglect

Residents of Amakyebare in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency of the Ashanti Region are wondering why the Ashanti Regional Minister has not visited the community since a rainstorm caused devastation in the community.

As of today,the community is without light and water.

A heavy rainstorm that swept through the community about a week ago caused massive devastation, destroying properties running into millions of cedis and rendering over one thousand residents homeless.

Barely after a week of the incident, the Ashanti Regional Minister ,Dr Frank Amoakohene who has visited communities that have experienced similar disasters this year is yet to visit Amakyebare, spiking anger among the residents.

Some residents in an interview with the Media blamed the Minister for neglecting them. According to them, his presence could bring the much-needed comfort and action to help alleviate their plight.

They called on him to live by his word to prioritize development across the region emphasizing the need for continuity and completion of existing projects.
