Concern Youth Of Atwedie Appeal To Asante hene To Help Fight Against Galamsey In The Area

Concerned youth from Asante Akyem Atwedie in the Asante Akyem South municipality of the Asante region are urging Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, to intervene in the fight against illegal mining, also known as galamsey.

The youth claim that galamsey is destroying their water bodies, making it challenging to access clean drinking water, a significant issue in rural communities.

According to Patrick Antwi Karikari, the Assembly member who spoke on behalf of the youth, they have reported the issue to authorities, but
