Bibiani Magistrate Court Has Remanded 42 year Farmer, Kofi Nkrumah, For attempted Murder

The Bibiani Magistrate Court presided over by His Lordship Delvin Essandoh has remanded one farmer, Kofi Nkrumah, 42, for two weeks and he is to reappear before court on the 3rd April, 2025, for attempting to kill his ex wife, Grace Akose Akowuah, 45, in bush at Sefwi Chirano in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality of the Western North Region.
According to reports they have been married for about 15 years but broke up due to a misunderstanding that ensued between them.
The suspect, Kofi Nkrumah, who inflicted severe cutlass wounds on the victim and left her beside a river in a pool of blood in the bush thinking she is dead, upon hearing the victim has been resuscitated took to his heels to avert arrest but luck eluded him and was subsequently arrested by securities of the Ghana Bauxite Company Awaso, upon an information received from the family members of the victim.
He was then handed over to the Awaso police and was later handed over to the Bibiani Police Command for further investigation and was arranged before Bibiani Magistrate Court..
The direct brother of the victim, Charles Akowuah narrated the outcome of the meeting of both families early this year ( January) when the marriage landed on a rock and also what led to the attempted murder by the accused.
The victim, Grace Akose Akowuah who is in severe pain also managed to share her ordeal with peace news after Court proceedings .
