Devastating Fire Outbreak Engulfs Over 400 Stores At Adum In Ashanti Region

A massive fire outbreak has ravaged over 400 stores at Adum in the Ashanti region of Ghana, leaving traders and shop owners in a state of devastation.

The fire, which started at 5:20 am, has continued to burn despite efforts by fire service personnel, ambulance services, military men, and prison services to bring it under control.

The fire outbreak has dealt a significant blow to traders and shop owners in the area, with many losing their livelihoods and properties. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but it is believed to have been triggered by electrical or gas-related issues.

This incident highlights the need for improved fire safety measures and emergency preparedness in markets and commercial areas.

Research has shown that fire outbreaks are a recurring problem in Ghana, particularly in markets, and that traders’ lack of knowledge on fire safety and prevention exacerbates the issue.
