Man And His Wife Arrested For Chaining Their 9yrs Old Daughter In The Bush At Gomoa Nkwatanan

Awutu Bereku district police command has arrested 40yrs old Bismark Odoi and his wife Savior Atta in attempted to slave trade 9yrs old daughter as punishment at Gomoa Nkwatanan in the Gomoa East District.

According to the report, the couple beat up the child, put chain on her legs and tied her on the tree in a bush for two days.

Report says,some women who went to farm on Wednesday saw the young daughter who was Chained and tied on the tree in the bush came to report to the community authorities.

Angel news in an interview with James Mensah a resident said, the woman came to report to them that the boy is tared on the tree in a bush with chain on her leg.

He said, after they went to the bush, they saw the boy very weak with chained and tied on her leg and hand on a tree in the bush.

He said, they report the incident to the police at Bereku when they brought the daughter from the bush and later the police arrest the father of the victim which the mother has also been arrested.

He said they suspect that the parents want to sell their daughter for money but it didn’t succeed.
