The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi is facing a severe water crisis, which has significantly impacted healthcare services.
The hospital has been without water since last week, forcing doctors to suspend all surgical cases due to concerns over patient safety and hygiene maintenance.
According to Professor Kwame Frimpong, the public relations officer of KATH, the Ghana Water Company is working to resolve the issue, but the hospital’s services remain slow.
The hospital is struggling to deliver quality healthcare services due to the shortage of water.
Mr. Frimpong stated in an interview with Angel Tv News that the Ghana Water Company has assured them that they are doing their best to ensure that water flows in the hospital to deliver their work as expected. The hospital authorities are hopeful that the issue will be resolved soon.
The water crisis has caused inconvenience to patients and staff, and the hospital is urging the Ghana Water Company to expedite the resolution of the issue. The hospital is also exploring alternative sources of water to mitigate the impact of the crisis.
