Within The Past Week Alone, We Witness Five Reported Robbery Attacks, Traders Crying Out

Traders and residents in the Amansie South and Amansie West districts, Ashanti region are living in fear due to a surge in armed robbery attacks.

According to the traders, within the past week alone, there have been five reported incidents on the main road and expressed sad about how the robbers proceeds to undressed them (naked) to see if monies are hide on their private parts.

Traders who trade in the two affected communities are urgently calling on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Regional Police Commander, and the District Police Commanders to increase security presence and protect them from these rampant attacks.

The aggrieved traders when speaking during a press conference said that,they are seeking immediate action to ensure their safety and security, and to prevent further incidents.

On his response, the assembly member for Manso Adubia electoral area, Hon Peter Awreh, expressed worry how the activities of armed robbers affecting the new established Wednesday’s market day at Manso Adubia and call on IGP, regional Police commander and the two district commanders to entervene in the situation.
