Heavy Rainstorm Rips Off Over 20 Houses, Leaving Residents Homeless And Stranded In Sehwi Abrokofe

Some residents of Sehwi Abrokofe have been rendered homeless and stranded after a heavy downpour riffed off, collapsing their houses.

A severe rainstorm has caused significant destruction in Sehwi Abrokofe, a community in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region, ripping off the roofs of over 20 houses and leaving residents homeless and stranded.

The devastating storm, which struck late on yesterday, left a trail of destruction, displacing families and causing widespread damage to property.

Some affected residents speaking to media said the downpour was accompanied by strong winds that uprooted trees and caused extensive damage to homes.

Many of the affected residents were caught off guard, as the storm arrived suddenly and with little warning, leaving them with no time to secure their belongings.

In some cases, entire roofs were torn off, and the structure of several houses was compromised, forcing families to seek refuge with relatives or in temporary shelters.

Some belongings, such as mattresses, television sets, cloths, multi tv dishes, chairs, and others, were all destroyed by the rain.

They shared their concerns with media.

Meanwhile, the chief of the community who was also not left out of the tragic incident, Nana Kwabena Yeboah II, made a passionate appeal to the government and the local authorities to come to their aid.
