Two Confirmed Dead After Galamsey Pit Caved In At Dadieso-Kwabenakrom

Two individuals have tragically lost their lives following a galamsey pit collapse in the *Dadieso-Kwabenakrom* electoral area of the Suaman District in the Western North Region.

The victims, identified as *Kwadwo 20*, and *Akwesman, 25*, were reportedly working in the illegal mining site when the pit caved in, burying them beneath the rubble.

Despite efforts from bystanders and emergency responders to rescue the victims, both were confirmed dead at the scene.

The bodies were later transported to the *Enchi* Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and further examination.

The Assemblyman for the Suiano electoral area, *Otoo Stephen*, confirmed the sad incident to Kofi Gyabaah Prof of Adehyie FM Bibiani.

He further indicated that the two victims are from the community, and their families are also assisting the police with further investigation.
