The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has revealed that the recent fire outbreak at Adum Blue Light in the Ashanti region has left over 2900 people affected.
Dr. Amoakohene noted that the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has stepped in to provide support to those in need.
The regional minister clarified that those who were protesting were not victims of the fire.
Dr. Amoakohene also revealed that his office has identified eight individuals who require psychological support due to the trauma caused by the fire.
Furthermore, relief support is still available for those affected, and victims who are struggling to feed themselves can collect food items.
A meeting with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday to finalize the decision.
