Update!!!Adum Fire Outbreak Leaves Over 2900 People Affected

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has revealed that the recent fire outbreak at Adum Blue Light in the Ashanti region has left over 2900 people affected.

According to Dr. Amoakohene, research conducted by his office shows that out of the 2900 affected individuals, 1500 are currently unable to feed themselves, while the remaining can still provide for themselves.

Dr. Amoakohene noted that the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has stepped in to provide support to those in need.

However, he expressed disappointment that some traders have been hostile towards the relief efforts, with some even hooting at Hon. Muntaka.

The regional minister clarified that those who were protesting were not victims of the fire.

Dr. Amoakohene also revealed that his office has identified eight individuals who require psychological support due to the trauma caused by the fire.

Furthermore, relief support is still available for those affected, and victims who are struggling to feed themselves can collect food items.

Regarding the damaged buildings, Dr. Amoakohene stated that tests will be conducted to determine whether the structures should be renovated or demolished and rebuilt.

A meeting with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday to finalize the decision.
