Two Dead, One Critically Injured In Gory Accident At Patasi

A devastating accident occurred at Patas in Ghana’s Ashanti region, claiming two lives and leaving one person critically injured.

The incident involved a school bus belonging to Palmer International School, which lost control and crashed into a storey building.

The deceased are identified as Maame Serwaa, 72 years old, and Alfred, around 45-50 years old. The critically injured individual, Wofa, is receiving treatment at Suntreso Government Hospital.

According to a tenant of the house, Maame Serwaa and Alfred were discussing plumbing work in the house before the accident.

They were in a pub in front of the house, estimating the cost of the plumbing work in the bathroom, when the incident occurred.

The driver reportedly stated that brake failure led to the accident.

The impact was severe, trapping individuals under the wreckage and requiring intervention from the police and Ghana National Fire Service.

The accident has destroyed properties and sent shockwaves through the community. Investigations are underway, with the driver in custody. The deceased have been taken to the morgue.
