13-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized After Friend Inflicts Cutlass Wounds Over Boyfriend Dispute

A 13-year-old Junior High School (JHS) 1 student, identified as Ankwanoa from Wuruyie D/A Basic School, is currently in critical condition at the New Edubaise Government Hospital after her classmate, Maabena Ketewaa, also 13, attacked her with a cutlass over a dispute about a boyfriend.

Reports indicate that Maabena had previously warned Ankwanoa to stay away from her boyfriend.

When Ankwanoa ignored the warning, Maabena escalated the situation by filing a complaint with the victim’s parents. This led to a heated confrontation between the two girls.

In a violent violent response to what she saw as a threat to her relationship, Maabena attacked Ankwanoa with a cutlass, inflicting severe wounds on her neck, arms, head, and back.

Ankwanoa was left bleeding heavily, but good Samaritans rushed her to the hospital for urgent medical care.

The incident was reported to the police, leading to Maabena’s arrest.

Authorities are investigating the disturbing incident, which has shocked the community.
