Bawku Conflict Don’t Withdraw Police Officers From Bawku- Traditional Leader Tells IGP

The Mankrado for Awutu Topease in the Awutu Senya West District of Central Region Nana Kofi Bosompem has cautioned the IGP COP Christian Tetteh Yehonu to reverse his decision of withdrawing all police officer from Bawku and it environs.

According to the traditional Ruler, the situation in the area would be worsened if there’s no security presence of in the area because , even there was no peace when the police were protecting lives and properties.

He has however, charged the youth groups in Bawku to lay down their weapons to promote peace and development in the area but before that, the two faction tribes must come together and settle the long standing chieftaincy dispute.

He was speaking in an interview with Angel news Opanyin Darko- yesterday at Awutu Topease.

Nana Bosompim has charged traditional leaders in Bawku and National House Of Chiefs to put punitive measures in place to settle the conflict.
