Chief Calls For Sex Education To Youths In Okere

The Chief of VRA Resettlement, who doubles as Mponuahene of Adukrom -Akuapim in the Okere District of the Eastern Region, *Nana Obiri Atakora Asare II* has called on health Practitioners to Prioritize sex Education for the youths in the community to curb the rising rate of Teenage Pregnancies.

Speaking at the grand durbar of *the Ebefura Festival 2025* at VRA Quarters, it was noted that there is a rise in Teenage Pregnancies among students in the district, causing a threat to their education for a better future.

According to him, frequent sex Education will pave the way for the youths to know there’s a better future ahead of them instead of engaging in early sex Practices, which may end their dreams for the future.

He, therefore, calls on all stakeholders to prioritize this as it’s their major concern for the teenagers in Okere and the Country at large.

Owoabrempong Awo Abena Koramah I NifaHemaa and Queen Mother of Adukrom -Akuapim urge the Youths in Okere to redeem the past glory of Akuapims being the most respectful tribe in Ghana.
