Branch Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Abura Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency of the Central Region have publicly called on President John Mahama to intervene regarding the conduct of their Member of Parliament, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
The executives accuse Kwakye Ofosu of sidelining and suppressing party members, especially those aligned with the Constituency Chairman, Vincent Koomson, leading to division and tension within the local party structure.
They have appealed directly to President Mahama to “call his son to order” and urged regional and national party leadership to restore unity, warning that continued disunity could cost the NDC the parliamentary seat to the opposition NPP. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who won the seat in the 2024 elections, has publicly stated his commitment to addressing constituents’ concerns and fostering development in the area.
After the party’s electoral victory, the MP reportedly ensured that key appointments and government positions were denied to individuals perceived as loyal to the chairman.
Mr. Bentir, noting that Chairman Koomson played a pivotal role in securing a significant electoral margin for the NDC and Hon. Kwakye Ofosu.
