Tragedy struck in the quiet suburb of Samreboi, specifically in the area of Amoaku, a place close to Samreboi, where a 20-year-old okada rider, Kwofie, met his untimely demise in the hands of Jacob, also known as Jaybad, who allegedly stabbed him to death with scissors in a bid to steal his brand-new motorcycle.
The incident happened last night around 8:00pm, where JAYBAD asks Kwofie to send him to an area known as Ohiapenika on his new motorbike.
After passing Amoaku in about 15 Kilometers, Jaybad, who was sitting at behind, stabbed him from the back in demanding that Kwofie get down from his bike.
The straggler continued, and unfortunately, Kwofie died out of it.
Jacob (JAYBAD) later took the motorbike away to Ohiapenika but couldn’t run away with it as some youth chanced on him and later ran to the *chief of the place*
The Police were later called for his arrest, but the youth of Asuoshyime (where the boy lives) had a lot of confrontations with the police in asking them to hand over the suspect to them.
This followed to the Samreboi Police Station, where the youth in agitation had a lot of confrontation with the police in an attempt to burn the police station if not handed to them.
A reinforcement team was called on, and several warning shots had to scare the youth, and later, the suspect was sent to the Asankrangwa District Command, where he will be arranged before court tomorrow.
