Wassa Amenfi East MCE Assumes Office, Laments Lack Of Cultural Maintenance

The newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah has officially begun his duties as the President’s representative in the municipality.

Hon. Ebbah assumed office on Tuesday, following a remarkable 100% confirmation by the assembly members.

On his first day at work, the MCE was accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, constituency party executives, and supporters.

Civil service staff led him on a tour of the assembly facility, including offices, washrooms, and properties, to inspect and familiarize himself with its state.

After a thorough assessment, Hon. Ebbah was visibly distraught, nearly breaking down in tears due to the lack of cultural maintenance.

Despite renovating his office prior to assuming duty, other facilities were found to be in a deplorable state.

The assembly’s electricity plant was non-functional due to a lack of fuel, plunging the entire assembly into darkness when there’s power outage.

The MCE’s office was in disarray, with items poorly arranged and printing machines unavailable.

The assembly building was wretched, surrounded by an overgrown, unclean environment, giving the impression of abandonment.

However, Hon. Ebbah, in an interview with the media after the tour, he pledged to deliver on his mandate without blame or delay for the betterment of Amenfi East and Western Region at large.

The MCE laments the Assembly’s faulty official vehicle, citing its negative impact on daily operations, but promises to repair it.

He emphasized that the President’s reset agenda remains his top priority, guiding his efforts to achieve set goals.

Furthermore, he committed to undertaking maintenance works on faulty equipment and assembly facilities to give the Amenfi East Municipal Assembly a new look.

Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah assured his commitment to Amenfi East’s development through effective collaboration with the Member of Parliament, assembly members, chiefs, and other relevant stakeholders to reset the municipality.
