Disgrantle Ashanti NDC Youth Protest Against Return Of Former DVLA Boss

A Group of Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region have stormed the regional office of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to protest the return of former DVLA Director, Amos Abeka.

The group Wearing red armbands, expressing their displeasure and anger on the leadership of the NDC especially Julius Neequay Kotei the Managing Director who they claimed is supervising the comeback of the former Regional Director.

Mr Hopeson Keku, the Deputy Regional Director of Research of the NDC addressing the media at the Ashanti Regional offices of the DVLA stated that a farewell party had been organized for Mr Abeka, indicating that he is no longer in charge of the region.

According to them, they were informed that he has been granted an additional year in his position despite the appointment of a new substantive director and threatened that plans are far ahead to return on Monday to forcefully install the newly appointed regional Director.

Mr Keku, expressed their determination to resist any attempt to bring Abeka back to the region while a new Director is already appointed.
