Assembly Task Force In Kasoa Collaborates With Police Arrest Six People For Defying Sanitation Measures

Authorities in Kasoa have intensified efforts to curb illegal waste dumping, leading to the recent arrest of six individuals by the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly Task Force and police.

Following the arrests, Hon. Seth Sabah Serwornoo-Banini issued a firm warning to those who dispose of waste in the area at night, highlighting the serious health risks posed by such actions.

He emphasized that strict monitoring would continue, with offenders facing legal consequences.

Two of the arrested individuals have already been sent to the Kasoa District Court to explain their actions.

Hon. Serwornoo-Banini urged residents to desist from illegal dumping, stressing that enforcement will be ongoing.

In an effort to find a long-term solution to Kasoa’s sanitation challenges, authorities plan to hold a stakeholders’ meeting next week.

Representatives from the police, fire service, traditional leaders, and immigration officials will come together to discuss strategies to improve waste management in the municipality.
