Police Arrest A 25 Year Old Man With Over 200 Rounds Of Ammunition And Other Weapons In Ashanti Region

The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested a 25 year old man Yussif Mohammed, in possession of a cache over 200 ammunition and other suspicious items near the Asankare Police barrier in the Konongo Division.

The arrest, facilitated by the vigilance of members of the public, occurred when the suspect’s backpack accidentally fell from an Accra-bound passenger bus traveling from Kumasi.

The incident drew the attention of Police officers stationed nearby, leading to the suspect’s immediate arrest.

Deputy Ashanti South Regional Police Commander, ACP Cephas Arthur, on media briefing at Police Headquarters in Asante Bekwai on the situation, assuring the public of ongoing investigations to uncover the suspect’s intentions and any possible criminal connections.
